GIScience researcher Steffen Knoblauch has just returned from a research visit at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in Cape Town , where he built upon his PhD research at the intersection of geoinformatics and public health.

His work focused on integrating Earth Observation data with bioacoustics to monitor mosquitos and enhance dengue disease control.
