To add context to Meta blocking Pixelfed mentions, I should remind everyone that Youtube silently hides comments containing "OpenStreetMap". I think @simon and @harry_wood found that out a few years ago.

@zverik @harry_wood Would be interesting to do a DSA request to get them to explain why it was removed.
> The DSA obliges platforms to have a point of contact for users, such as email addresses, instant messages, or chatbots. Online platforms will also have to ensure that contact is quick and direct and cannot solely rely on automated tools, making it easier for users to reach platforms if they wish to make a complaint. (...)
@zverik @harry_wood Secondly, online platforms must ensure that complaints are handled by qualified staff, and that the matter is handled in a timely, non-discriminatory manner. Online platforms must also provide clear and specific reasons for their moderation decisions. Thirdly, if a user chooses to have a decision reviewed, this must be handled free of charge via a platform’s internal complaints system.

@harry_wood @zverik I did retest a bit later and it didn't happen to me any more, but other people were still experiencing the issue.
@harry_wood @simon I initially attributed it to him, but then could not find the source, only your tweet and video. Indeed, sorry @simon !
@zverik @harry_wood Absolutely disgusting...
@zverik @harry_wood @simon for what it's worth I once commented on Facebook post by an account actually named <website name>.com mentioning said website.
It got removed as spam ... for mentioning the name of the Facebook page I was commenting on.
And in my experience basically any mention of a URL in a YouTube Comment will cause it to be removed. So I tend to assume they're all basically using a big allowlist these days and blocking the rest.
@InsertUser @zverik @harry_wood at the time I didn't add an url, it was literally just "OpenStreetMap".
