Looking for a cheaper GIS conference that still offers loads of great content and networking opportunties? State of the Map US is coming up and you cannot beat these prices.
We even have playlists of talks from previous years so you can see if it may be right for you. Take a look and I hope to see some of you in Boston!

@watmildon I could take a train to GIS-T this year, but not at these prices. https://web.cvent.com/event/e2f59991-9072-4534-9b91-84746953d05f/summary
@HayiWena I need a new, stronger phrase than Sticker Shock for how some conferences are priced lol.
@watmildon Extortion?
I suspect they picked Portland, OR for this conference before pricing it, and the one-day price reflects the fact that their costs are based on peak attendance not total attendance. But also, in-person conferences are expensive and it's a sin that these conferences aren't virtual. It's possible to do virtual conferences really well if you focus on accessibility and not profit.
@HayiWena Yes! Our other conference is all virtual and was free to attend this year.
The talks are also available on our YouTube but you can see the conference program here:

@HayiWena If you're interested in pedestrian and accsesibility mapping, this conference is coming up and is also free. They have a hybrid virtual/in person setup and I will be taking advantage of the virtual option.
@watmildon Oh, I bet this conference is part of the work they are doing for WSDOT. <3
