@osm_tech Keeping this running is of critical importance given the danger posed by Google Maps and Google's data practices. I do not allow Google Maps or Google Play Services on my phone at all.
Note that since the ~Osmand OpenStreetMap frontend navigation app uses predownloaded maps, it works even if OpenStreetMap is down or you are not connected to the Internet, so long as you are in a state or area for which you have previously downloaded the map.
At least Google was forced to switch location history to on device only so as not to be inundated with abortion and trans healthcare related geofence warrants after Jan 20, but I doubt the rest of their data snarfing has changed much,
