Hello world! Today is the start of my pixelfed journey! I hope to find many of my old social media friends here! I'll be posting a lot of medieval hand sewing, projects I'm working on and works in progress! It'll all be medieval and mostly 14th century!

@Rosaliesmedievalwoman #Welcome to the Fediverse! Such fun to see #medieval #costume pictures on Pixelfed. Looking forward to more!

@ClaireFromClare@h-net.social could you help me? When there are comments, I can only see the first several words, not the entire comment. How do I fix this?

@Rosaliesmedievalwoman I haven't come across this issue. Please tell us if you're using app or browser, & lets ask for #pixelfed #FediHelp #FediTips @PixelfedHelp ?

Yeah, would need to know what you're using to view Pixelfed, is it the website or an app?

@PixelfedHelp Is there a reply-threading issue in Pixelfed? See attached screenshots from the web pages of @Rosaliesmedievalwoman - not sure if she can see our replies?

@ClaireFromClare@h-net.social caption cuts out after attached s... then I can't access the rest. I'm using android app.

@ClaireFromClare @Rosaliesmedievalwoman @PixelfedHelp

That does look like a bug.

I've tried to find the most relevant issue on the Pixelfed Github and have posted a reply about this with a link to the screenshots you made:

github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/i

(If you're a member of Github, you can vote for this to be fixed more quickly by giving a thumbs up in the first post in the thread.)

@FediTips
Or perhaps even two independent bugs, one in the app and one in the browser?

In the Android app (screenshot) it looks like a display problem. All the replies appear to be there, but (a) the display seems to be limited to 3 lines so many comments get cut off, and (b) as replies get indented further they disappear to the right of the screen.

Whereas in a browser on Android, some replies seem completely invisible as already noted.

@FediTips
For completeness, it works better in the Pixelix app - all replies appear to be shown in full. But even there, indentation is a problem once there are more than a few replies - I guess if we keep this thread going, it may break eventually.

@alan Conversations are important! @dansup could fixing this ⬆️ be prioritised please?
#Pixelfed users are there alternative apps which handle replies well? @FediTips @Rosaliesmedievalwoman @PixelfedHelp

🙏 Thank you @dansup
Congratulations on everything you're achieving with Pixelfed!

@Rosaliesmedievalwoman #welcome to the Fediverse, thanks for asking & thereby assisting the constant improvement, & please keep posting!

Thanks to everyone who helped here:
