I hope frozen water counts for #WaterWednesday

An image from 2022 of the infamous Abraham Lake in #Alberta #Canada with its frozen methane bubbles trapped just below the surface.

The bubbles from my understanding are a result of organics buried in the lake bed after it was created by the nearby manmade dam. This place has unsurprisingly become a huge photo attraction as a result.

A mountain sits in the evening sun as sunset starts. High stratospheric clouds are lit softly pink. The frozen lake in the foreground is full of white and opague filled bubbles creating amazing little patterns in the ice.

A snap from this January. Apparently, we had snow then. Now it's gray and snowless, and we've barely seen the sun. I think I can count the times the sun's been out on one hand, and that's over the last 4 weeks, you guys. Still, I don't really mind. I actually prefer gray and rainy days over snowy, sunny ones. I've always been like that.
