Is a social network not a walled garden if it's non-profit?

As you can see, they don’t merely have a link to their FB account. They actually direct the public to go to #Facebook and #MS #LinkedIn to get /public/ information (that is, info intended for the general public). I am blocked from the publications on that page because I do not have FB or LinkedIn.

Why did you ditch Tuta?
I opened an acct just to see how the crypto was implemented, hoping it could be a hushmail replacement. Discovered that Tuta’s tech is not open standards (i.e. not openpgp). So it’s a #walledGarden & cannot serve the e2ee purpose when one party is not on the platform.
But I kept the account because there was at least a FOSS f-droid app which gave some relief from having to login manually via web app.
I *ditched* Tuta when Tuta ditched me. Tuta used #designedObsolescence pro-actively break their app on older Androids. I will not buy new hardware and partake in ecocide by #ewaste.
(edit) Then #Tuta deleted my account when I did not login often enough, which happened because I was forced to use their web UI.

I'm seriously thinking about jumping out of this fediverse thing, as it is taking to much of my time, with little to none joy. and the #fediverse have become just the next #walledgarden promotion pool, and I am feed up with all that shit from the walled hell and I do not need another brick in that wall So to everyone who might like to take over this server, please do feel free, the domain will as for now stay mine and I will forward the record to wherever you like in a public zone.
The only demand is this shall stay as a public available server free of any tracking, ads and urlshotners to keep it as safe zone as possible.
Why Not Zoidberg?
