The Grape Hyacinth is looking good but I don't think much of the flowers are open. Saw Bombus Huntii inspecting it but she flew off.

Im Wald heute ein endloses Blütenmeer von Buschwindröschen, Schlüsselblumen, Lerchensporn, Scharbockskraut, Butterblumen und Bärlauch (der noch nicht blüht!).
Einfach magisch. Ich wollte nicht mehr da raus.

Things are looking up even if the daffodils are looking down.

The flowers of Eastern Leatherwood (Dirca palustris) are sheathed in protective hairs because they emerge in still fairly cold weather. These flowers are pollinated most frequently by native bees but are also self fertile if no insects are present when they open. Blooms last for a few weeks.

The shrub or small tree grows in the understory of the larger tree canopy.
This plant is not common in this region.
