In my early crochet days (circa 6+ years ago) one of my hyperfixations was magic blankets and other "magic" items. Double stranding alternating colors? Heck yeah, absolutely my jam lol!<br> <br> I got the idea from Kim's Magic Blankets on FB who, in turn, got it from the Zooty Owl blog (only, Kim took it way farther). This is a great idea for when you have leftover scrap yarn, fugly yarn, etc and you can also just make color changing yarn cakes as a fun project. The sky is the limit!<br> <br> I've used this method to create everything from blankets to mats for my dogs to market bags to scarves, cowls, and beanies. The only difference is that I prefer HDC over DC.
