Yesterday's Rose<p>So I'm a <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/RubyLang" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RubyLang</span></a> developer and just on a whim I'm trying out <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/ElixirLang" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ElixirLang</span></a> for a small data-collation project (mucking about with a bunch of sqlite3 databases and whatnot).</p><p>Had a mild WTF moment trying to figure out what the hell this "mix" thing is, it's a bit more complex beast than rake/bundler. But nothing googling can't solve.</p><p>The script is now at the "wow, it does a thing!" phase. Feeling hopeful. Might be getting actual results out of this one day.</p>

I *migh*t not be able to use some of the DB rollback plugins and such.</p><p>It's actually a great idea. Thank you for the constructive suggestion!</p>
Todd A. Jacobs | Rubyist<p><a href="https://ruby.social/tags/CrystalLang" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CrystalLang</span></a> comes with its own version of <a href="https://ruby.social/tags/RSpec" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RSpec</span></a> built in. However, I can't seem to find a Crystal equivalent for <a href="https://ruby.social/tags/CucumberBDD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CucumberBDD</span></a>, although I've heard anecdotally that Turnip (which embeds <a href="https://ruby.social/tags/GherkinSyntax" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GherkinSyntax</span></a> into RSpec) works even if it lacks some of Cucumber's full feature set. What do Crystal programmers use as a drop-in replacement or alternative implementation for <a href="https://ruby.social/tags/RubyLang" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RubyLang</span></a> Cucumber?</p>
