It's beginning to look a lot like Trumpmas.

2, This is, if I'm not mistaken, one of the historic buildings that is discussed in the article (note intersection of Tuna St. and Cannery St.). My snapshots. They're in B&W in the book
Updates to latest Production Branch 570.144 for x11/nvidia-driver, x11/linux-nvidia-libs and graphics/nvidia-drm-*-kmod ports landed at commit 9b6b1bf17269ed32eb0ec415bedad5fba7ebab2e on main (aka latest) of #FreeBSD #ports collection.
https://cgit.freebsd.org/ports/commit/?id=9b6b1bf17269ed32eb0ec415bedad5fba7ebab2e
Note that starting from this version, supports for intermediate versions of some libraries in x11/linux-nvidia-libs are dropped. Versions of slave ports like x11/linux-nvidia-libs-390 are still supported for the latest version of them.
See discussions in review D49982 "x11/nvidia-driver, x11/linux-nvidia-libs, graphics/nvidia-drm-kmod: Update to 570.144" for details.

Uhhh this is a compilation of people visiting ports near them to record how empty they are for people who don’t believe it.
Right around 27 minutes someone is driving by the port of Los Angeles. Had they not said that’s where they were I never would have recognized San Pedro. It’s was always so full of ships I’ve never seen the docks because there were always ships full of cargo containers surrounding them.
#Ports bracing for cratering of traffic due to #TradeWar with #China. Expect retail shortages next.

No one else likes this picture as much as I do. An artifact from early days of opening up trade with China, this is stuffed toys that came in through the Port of Long Beach in 1982. We got Big Bird, some teddy bears, & an unidentified muppet in upper left (Gonzo? Grover?)
@stefano I really enjoyed listening (and reading). Neat summaries, especially your experience of real-world benefits.
With regard to FreeBSD and "separation between OS and packages", this is no longer true – the OS is packaged – however the vast majority of people will know what's meant
A typical installation of FreeBSD-RELEASE for a desktop/laptop user might gain its packages from a trio of repos:
FreeBSD-base
FreeBSD-kmods
FreeBSD-ports
• "For the avoidance of doubt, such future sources of revenues do not include the current sources of revenues which are already part of the general budget revenues of #Ukraine."
• The fund aim is to invest in Ukrainian projects & attract investment in public & private assets including #NaturalResources, #infrastructure, #ports & state-owned enterprises.
• Contributions to the fund will be reinvested in Ukraine to promote "the safety, #security & prosperity of Ukraine."
Bug285139 for x11/nvidia-driver, x11/linux-nvidia-libs, graphics/nvidia-drm*-kmod upgrading to 570.124.04 now has updated x11/linux-nvidia-libs. And a review is opened with the updated x11/linux-nvidia-libs.

The raw diff here is newer than Bug285139, only with comments in graphics/nvidia-drm-kmod/Makefile.common.

If Friday’s angry encounter…leads to a further drop in #US #military support for #Ukraine, Remchukov said in a phone interview, the consequences could be profound, possibly even encouraging #Putin to return to the broader territorial aims he pursued when he began his invasion in 2022.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if Moscow decided to go further, to #Odesa or #Mykolaiv,” Remchukov said, referring to key #BlackSea #ports that remain under Ukrainian control.

Found graphics/drm-66-kmod landed on main (aka latest) branch of ports tree on FreeBSD.
https://cgit.freebsd.org/ports/commit/?id=00508c01e2762632f758b64b12abf1e2918c6cf9
But supported only on fairly recent main branch of FreeBSD base (aka -Current) at least for now.
I've posted some info at forums.freebsd.org.

Russia's Soviet-era military stockpile running low, faces equipment shortages -- Ukrainian defense tech company Huless raises over $1 million for tethered drone systems -- Georgescu has 'masters in Moscow' — Kyiv slams Romanian politician over comments on Ukraine's partition -- For Ukraine’s female partisans in occupation, hope lies in resistancehttps://writeworks.uk/~/UkraineDaily/Ukraine%20Daily%20summary%20-%20Friday,%20January%2031%202025/
I did a poudriere setup again after some time and one thing seems odd.
When building devel/git it pulls in rust and gcc... is there something I do wrong?
Seems excessive for a slimmed down port (UNSET most of the options)
