I’m so tired of learning on a regular basis that the products that the corporations in America sell us for wellness contain a bunch of lead.

And please don’t look at this and think “well yeah, it’s a supplement. Nobody regulates those.” You are right, but you know what else turned up with a bunch of lead in it this year? The Walmart brand Metamucil. Sure I guess that’s a supplement too, but it’s enough of a medical product that doctors tell people to drink that every day.

If people were buying orange flavor equate Metamucil and drinking it every day they were exceeding the safe amount of lead consumption daily.

There was a recent link here about #lead in toothpaste. I was concerned about a particular one #Jack&Jill #toothpaste and contacted the company about it. They just sent me a report
(I have no way of checking this, but at least they replied)

New study finds 90% of toothpastes contains lead, 65% contains arsenic, about half contains mercury.

No level of exposure to #lead is safe, according to the US government.

“It’s unconscionable – especially in 2025,” said Tamara Rubin. “What’s really interesting to me is that no one thought this was a concern.”

Among those toothpastes found to contain the toxins were Crest, Sensodyne, Tom’s of Maine, Dr Bronner’s, Davids, Dr Jen and others.

Good News! 1LT Gabrielle White has made history by becoming the first woman, the first Black woman, and the first Ranger Tabbed woman to compete in the BEST RANGER COMPETITION (BRC), and with only 16 teams remaining out of 52 on the final day, she is on track to achieve another milestone by being the first to complete BRC with her teammate CPT Deltenre.

The concentration of airborne lead is associated with infant mortality through the first year of life. Potentially associated effects include low birth weight, SIDS, and respiratory and nervous system deficits.

When I was young, one manufacturer od #lead #miniatures made a séries of 12 #dragons an a plastic stone with a stand was packed with it. If you collected all #minis , you could build a circle with the stands and were entiteled to a 13th dragon.
