Clothespins. Vila Nova de Milfontes, November 2024. Ilford HP5 Plus developed in ID-11.
That feeling when you shot two rolls at box speed, the sun went behind the trees so you shot another pushed, and you just unloaded your camera and put it in the jacket pocket with the other two…
I've got a 33% chance that I won't have one underdeveloped roll / one overdeveloped roll. Hopefully my tactic of "which roll still feels warm from my hand” works.
Lesson learned: write on the canister *before* unloading.
More of the #Pantheon on #film this time, #ilford #hp5 pushed two stops in development #photography #PhotoMonday #Mastoart pushing film gives more contrast at the expense of grain, but doesn’t magically reveal shadows, in fact you are probably actually underexposing film (here, I shoot at iso 1600, the negative is optimal at 400) so you still need to balance for the shadows, which I sometimes forget :) https://flic.kr/p/2qobsD3
It has been really gratifying to get these two rolls shot, develop them, and see the images from the last N weeks emerge. They're all HP5Plus, some rodinal-like develop stand developed with the agitation in the middle I've heard tell of here, the Minox 35GT. There is something magical about working with light, film, and chemistry.
