Chris Geoghooligan<p>Attn: <a href="https://toot.community/tags/T1D" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>T1D</span></a> folks.</p><p>Have you any experience with <a href="https://toot.community/tags/fiasp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fiasp</span></a>, particularly as used in an <a href="https://toot.community/tags/insulin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>insulin</span></a> pump? How does it compare to <a href="https://toot.community/tags/humalog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>humalog</span></a> or <a href="https://toot.community/tags/novolog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>novolog</span></a>?</p><p>I take <a href="https://toot.community/tags/novolog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>novolog</span></a> via my <a href="https://toot.community/tags/tandem" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tandem</span></a> <a href="https://toot.community/tags/tslim" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tslim</span></a>, but I’m finding it increasingly difficult to control my BG as my <a href="https://toot.community/tags/gastroparesis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gastroparesis</span></a> grows more erratic over time. I’m wondering if a faster-acting insulin might help, allowing me to NOT bolus until I see a BG rise when my stupid stomach decides to start digesting (sometimes immediately, sometimes 4 hours later).</p>
Lanie Carmelo<p>Hi all. Hope everyone's having a good day. I'm tired and have a bit of a headache, but I'm doing good otherwise. I might split my updates into a couple posts since I have a lot to talk about. I'm finally getting some answers as to what's going on with my stomach and esophagus. I went through a gastric emptying study last month, and it turns out I have <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/gastroparesis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gastroparesis</span></a> and <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/irritableBowelSyndrome" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>irritableBowelSyndrome</span></a>. The muscle that opens and closes my esophagus is also tight, which is what's been causing my swallowing issues. My doctor has me on a couple new meds and suggested some diet changes. I'm getting more <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/Lidocane" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Lidocane</span></a> <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/injections" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>injections</span></a> in my head and neck for my <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/occipitalNeuralgia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>occipitalNeuralgia</span></a> in a couple weeks, and I'm dreading them but looking forward to them at the same time. They're really painful but they do help. I'm still on <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/bloodThinners" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bloodThinners</span></a> because of the surgery I had in March to implant a stent in my head to help with <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/intracranialHypertension" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>intracranialHypertension</span></a>. They're making me bruise and generally just get hurt really easy, so I'm so ready to get off of them at the end of the month when I follow up with my neurosurgeon.</p>
Paul Chambers🚧<p>Wife developed <a href="https://oldfriends.live/tags/gastroparesis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gastroparesis</span></a> really bad &amp; saw many specialists over the past several years &amp; it just got worse. So bad that they were talking about options like a simulator or a drain tube, which would be ironic because I have a feeding tube. We joked, "I would have one for input, she would have one for output."</p><p>A new <a href="https://oldfriends.live/tags/nurse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>nurse</span></a> practitioner determined it was her <a href="https://oldfriends.live/tags/Trulicity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Trulicity</span></a> causing it, took her off of it &amp; added mealtime insulin</p><p>Gastroparesis mostly gone; glucose numbers much better than ever now</p>
Blue Emu<p>Better day today. I just need to force myself to eat a little before the nausea starts; an empty stomach is bad news rn.</p><p>Doc tomorrow to find out what tests are next. Wheeee!</p><p><a href="https://shakedown.social/tags/POTS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>POTS</span></a> <a href="https://shakedown.social/tags/gastroparesis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gastroparesis</span></a></p>
WearyBonnie<p>Ok, so. This is the first menstrual cycle I've had in ages where my <a href="https://disabled.social/tags/LDN" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LDN</span></a> is causing <a href="https://disabled.social/tags/gastroparesis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gastroparesis</span></a>, AND I think it's also my first <a href="https://disabled.social/tags/anovulatory" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>anovulatory</span></a> cycle in ages.<br>I don't suppose anyone has experience of taking LDN either side of <a href="https://disabled.social/tags/perimenopause" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>perimenopause</span></a> / <a href="https://disabled.social/tags/menopause" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>menopause</span></a> and whether the side effects changed?</p><p>Edited because I accidentally broke a tag by having the / touching it</p>
