The Dutch vote to ban New Year's fireworks, but not just yet.

Fireworks have been a New Year tradition for decades in the Netherlands, but the scale of injuries and damage on the night has spiralled in recent years.

Last New Year's Eve, two people were killed and 1,162 people needed emergency treatment for injuries including burns and eye damage.

MPs back a consumer ban but support postponing it because of the risk of compensation claims.

I know it's still a few months out, but the looming tariffs on China might have an outsized effect on #MAGA #fireworks displays for the 4th of July this year. My neighbors are going to be so pissed lol.... They'll pretend not to notice and break the bank on fireworks anyways, because it's just who they are. I'm just glad it will be a financial challenge for them.

Maybe they'll have to make a tough decision between eggs for a cake or fireworks. Yes, I am that petty.

Is Elon Regulating His Own Rockets Now?
talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/i

"One of Elon Musk’s #Starship rockets exploded over the #GulfOfMexico early yesterday evening, creating a spectacular #fireworks -like display and disrupting commercial air traffic...

#Musk had claimed repeatedly that he was over-regulated by the #FAA, especially after the agency fined #SpaceX $633,000 for launching rockets with unapproved changes."

Day 45 on the #365in25 challenge. This was taken a couple years ago at our Amarillo Sod Poodles AA baseball game. I believe they won’t that game. On Friday nights, we have a fireworks show.
