Not technically 'windows' I suppose, but I'm adding these brise-soleil by Le Corbusier to #FensterFreitag because they are elements of the facade that bring in light and air, and they do frame all views out of the buildings...

Tenuous justification? ME?? Ach, for all his faults, Le Corbusier is also responsible for some of the most transcendentally beautiful spaces I've ever experienced.

Part of a concrete behemoth of a building. Vast flat planes intersect each other to channel the breeze and restrict strong sunlight, and a giant curved canopy floats over impossibly thin fin walls which support it. This is one end of the General Assembly building in Chandigarh, designed by Le Corbusier.

Drei Küsse auf Vergangenem.
Ein Fenster, das mehr erlebt hat als mancher Mensch.
Verfall küsst Farbe.
Ironie trifft Alltag – und das Wochenende steht vor der Tür.

Motiv:
Ein Fenster mit vergilbten, beschädigten Sichtschutzfolien. Drei rote Lippenabdrücke befinden sich auf der rechten Scheibe. Das Fenster ist in eine verputzte Fassade eingelassen.

Stimmung & Wirkung:
Das Bild wirkt dokumentarisch und leicht ironisch. Der Kontrast zwischen Verfall und der grafischen Note der Lippen erzeugt Spannung. Es vermittelt Spuren von Zeit, Nutzung und menschlicher Intervention.

Technische Details:
Farbe: Vorherrschende Töne sind Beige, Ocker, Weiß und Rot. Die Farben wirken natürlich mit deutlicher Sättigung.
Schärfentiefe: Tiefenschärfe vollständig auf das Fenster fokussiert, Hintergrund entfällt aufgrund flacher Perspektive.
Lichtverhältnisse: Harte Lichtsituation mit direkter Sonneneinstrahlung von links, deutliche Schattenbildung an der Fassade.

Eine alte, verwitterte Backsteinwand mit zwei Fenstern. Die Holzrahmen der Fenster sind abgenutzt. Die Wand weist verschiedene Texturen und Farben auf, da an einigen Stellen der Putz abgefallen oder repariert wurde. Im unteren Bereich sind freiliegende Ziegel zu sehen, einige davon bröckeln. Eine Betonplatte lehnt gegen die Hauswand und bildet einen interessanten Kontrast zu den Backsteinen.

This window was part of a pub in London. The centre part was originally a door, but it's now painted shut with tables behind.
I liked that the light from inside was showing the different colours in the glass.
I imagine it looks very cool at night.

A small square-ish tower-like structure with arch-shaped windows on three levels. There are clock faces above the windows on both visible sides of the building. The building is modern, though it mimics the style of older structures.

Das Bild zeigt einen in Schwarz-Weiß gehaltenen, perspektivischen Blick auf eine erhöhte Fußgängerbrücke mit hohen Metallzäunen, die ein Gefühl von Einsamkeit und Isolation vermitteln.

Das Foto zeigt eine erhöhte Fußgängerbrücke, die vom Betrachter aus gesehen in die Ferne führt. Die Brücke ist von hohen, parallel verlaufenden Metallzäunen auf beiden Seiten begrenzt. Die Zäune bestehen aus vielen vertikalen, relativ dünnen Stäben, die ein Gitter bilden. Die Konstruktion wirkt robust und modern. Der Boden der Brücke ist ein einfacher, hellerer Betonweg. Die Perspektive und die strengen Linien der Architektur erzeugen ein Gefühl von Enge und vielleicht auch von Einsamkeit oder Isolierung. Das Bild könnte ein Gefühl von Stillstand oder Erwartung vermitteln.

Doch schaust du drüber, weitet sich der Himmel.

Ein Bauzaun darauf eine Tapete mit Fenstern. Diese ist aber schon in großen Teilen weggerissen. Hinter dem Bauzaun ist Himmel zu sehen.
