Waarom je mee moet doen aan de sit-in in Utrecht
Israël verhongert en vermoordt Palestijnen, valt hulpverleners aan en blokkeert tegelijkertijd iedere humanitaire organisatie die de Gazastrook binnen probeert te komen. Sinds 2 maart 2025 is elke vracht met noodhulp tegen gehouden. De blokkade is niets minder dan een misdaad tegen de menselijkheid - en de wereld kijkt weg. Oorlogsslachtoffers uit de tweede wereldoorlog worden herdacht, maar hoe oprecht is die herdenking eigenlijk als we tegelijkertijd zwijgen over de slachting in Gaza? Terwijl we stilstaan bij het verleden, zijn onze regering en vele bedrijven medeplichtig aan genocide.
Wij blijven opdagen om onze woede, verdriet en verzet te laten zien! Laat je stem horen. Kom naar de sit-in en eis: directe toegang voor hulpgoederen, bescherming van burgers in Palestina en een einde aan de Nederlandse steun aan deze genocide.

Israel is starving and killing Palestinians, attacking aid workers, and simultaneously blocking every humanitarian organization trying to enter the Gaza Strip. Since March 2, 2025, every single truck carrying aid has been stopped. The blockade is nothing less than a crime against humanity — and the world looks the other way. Victims of World War Il are commemorated, but how sincere is that remembrance if we remain silent about the massacre in Gaza? As we pause to reflect on the past, our government and many companies are complicit in genocide.

Het Israëlische veiligheidskabinet heeft unaniem ingestemd met uitbreiding van de oorlog in de Gazastrook. Het plan zou over ruim een week van kracht worden, wanneer een bezoek van president Trump aan de regio achter de rug is. Wat de uitbreiding inhoudt, is niet bekend.
Gisteren werd al bekend dat het Israëlische leger tienduizenden reservisten heeft opgeroepen ter ondersteuning van de uitbreiding vd oorlog in Gaza. Volgens The Times of Israel is Israël niet bereid om grote pakketten toe te laten die op centrale plekken worden opgeslagen, om plunderingen te voorkomen. In plaats daarvan zouden internationale organisaties en particuliere beveiligingsbedrijven dozen voedsel moeten uitdelen aan Gazaanse gezinnen. De ultrarechtse minister Ben-Gvir van Nationale Veiligheid was volgens Israëlische media de enige die tegen dit voorstel stemde.

My friends, I honestly don't know what more I can say here when the facts speak for themselves. Israel has totally blockaded Gaza, they're bombing the shit out of the people inside, and the military isn't allowing enough food, or seemingly any medical supplies or other lifesaving humanitarian aid through to the Palestinian people its bombing. As this clearly genocidal shit is going on, a US media is largely ignoring the crisis while apparently hoping all the Palestinians will be dead before their audience notices we're helping Israel exterminate or ethnically cleanse an entire people in Gaza.
And all the while a Pig Empire establishment continues to manufacture consent for the slaughter by pretending the Netanyahu government's motives are unknowable in the fog of war, despite the fact that cabinet ministers keep blurting out their intention to ethnically cleanse Gaza and we're watching what can only be an attempted genocide unfold on Tik Tok videos day, after horrifying day. History is going to be written about the cowardice, complicity, and depraved indifference to human life on display in the Pig Empire establishment here; the only question is will we as Americans survive our own fascist chickens coming home to roost long enough to help write it.
