I have always enjoyed meadows and fields. As a kid, growing up in really really small towns, there was plenty of empty space to kick around in, and I did.

Every day I waited for the school bus to take me home so I could wander through magical places that did not remotely look like a classroom.

I love trees, in all their stately splendor.

During the winter, when they discard their leaves, they show off their elegant, sculptured form.

Come spring, they array themselves in shades of green, which they swap out in the autumn for a panoply of colors. One imagines them at their closet, indecisive over red or gold? Orange or coral?
