Speaking of plastic bags, while grocery shopping last week some guy was putting bananas in the thin produce plastic bags.

I stopped and inquired why.

He said it was what his mother always used to protect bananas.

I pointed out that bananas grow a thick natural protective cover and that placing fruit in plastic often leads to mold growth.
