Most businesses close for a whole week, there are a lot of national holidays where shops are required to close etc. Having grown up in an atheist household, this annoyed me a lot. <br>…But as I now own a cabin («hytte»), I appreciate this silent week: Do a bit of spring cleaning gardening. Assemble the trampoline. Eat candy. Walk in the snowfree forest. <br>A weeklong societal shutdown feels….good.</p>

With the sun being so much lower in the sky the nights aren’t too bad, the grass gets dewy & everything seems nice & fresh in the mornings. Then my weekly visit with my sister, I hope she has started to move more, but she seems quite content to spend most of her days on her bed unfortunately & it worries me.
