I noticed that it has become incredibly difficult for me to speak about #politics with relatives and other people I don't have a close relationship with.

Personally I think that in general left-wing ideas are more humane and closer to science and real-life. I strive for ideals like better #cyclist and #pedestrian #infrastructure, #equality, #EV mandates, public #healthcare, #publictransport, etc..

I certainly don't blindly agree with everything, but in general I am "left" in most topics.

Magic paint simply does not work. Some motorists require a physical barrier to stop them losing their minds, imagining they're a cyclist, steering their large and heavy motor-vehicle into the wrong lane, and injuring or killing cyclists.

As a retired #automotive #engineer and an avid #cyclist, I can say EV's reduce carbon footprint in operation and have the potential of reducing it in a future. BUT EV's require mining and manufacturing and that still assaults the environment. What is really needed is more human infrastructure: #bike paths and #pedestrian friendly spaces. And #EBikes provide far more #carbon bang for the buck than EV's ever will.
