"Static Web Methodology as a Sustainable Approach to Digital Humanities Projects"

This short paper introduces static web development methodology (titled “Lib-Static”) as a provocation to rethink DH infrastructure choices, asking how our frameworks can build internal skills, collaboration, and empowerment to generate more sustainable digital projects.

Lately, I’ve been experimenting with creating a very basic system for publishing #CulturalHeritage #Collections based on the #StaticSiteGenerator #Pelican. Think #Wax or #CollectionBuilder, but way less polished. It’s not a product, it’s an exercise in #MinimalComputing and a proof-of-concept. Since it now has a home on GitHub and basic documentation, I thought I could also share it for people to tinker with. #DigitalHumanities
