Before I start my post today, quick update:

It’s April 7, my cake day, and I feel older, yet I’m missing out on life, especially the past ten years.

Feeling like I’m going through midlife moment

I’m going to fix it
I plan to go out more, spend time outside the city, and go camping.

Most importantly, get a new job, with an announcement about that coming soon.

Here’s to 36; let’s hope it’s better than 35.

Happy Birthday, Linux! :tux:

Hello everybody out there using minix -

I'm doing a (free) operating system (just a hobby, won't be big and
professional like gnu) for 386(486) AT clones. This has been brewing
since april, and is starting to get ready. I'd like any feedback on
things people like/dislike in minix, as my OS resembles it somewhat
(same physical layout of the file-system (due to practical reasons)
among other things).

I've currently ported bash(1.08) and gcc(1.40), and things seem to work.
This implies that I'll get something practical within a few months, and
I'd like to know what features most people would want. Any suggestions
are welcome, but I won't promise I'll implement them :-)

PS. Yes - it's free of any minix code, and it has a multi-threaded fs.
It is NOT protable (uses 386 task switching etc), and it probably never
will support anything other than AT-harddisks, as that's all I have :-(.

@torvalds

I totally missed my #CakeDay! (June 10.)

It’s been a whole year since I did the #RedditMigration and joined the #Fediverse!

Do I miss #Reddit? Nope.

#Mastodon definitely seems a lot quieter, but I think that’s due to people treating it like #blogging rather than a discussion board. Which duh, that’s putting the blogging in micro-blogging.

But that’s one of the reasons why I chose Mastodon as my #RedditAlternative, because it’s a totally different experience and I wanted something with totally different vibes. I never got into #Twitter, so Mastodon was a total breath of fresh air.

So Mastodon is my foot in the door and I look forward to gradually continue exploring the Fediverse and what it has to offer.

Have a good day and I’ll see you around!

Today I am the atomic number of rhodium-old.

Life goes by way too fast. That's all I got to say. I am just getting started.

Got gifted and also gifted myself with many lovely flowers.

And my partner got me a new value pack of ear plugs and made me a dispenser for them, from plywood as is tradition.

All good.

Thank you wonderful people for an awesome first year here on the #Mastodon

This has been such a better place than the social media I'd experienced previously

Happy #MastoAnniversary #CakeDay you fine folks
