Imbassaí is wonderful small village directly by the Atlantic Ocean approximately 80 km north of Salvador. The former indigenous village has become a touristic center in the region, due to its amazing location and beauty. It’s directly located where a river with the same name (Imbassaí) flows into the ocean. The river separates the beaches, which are located on an offshore island, from the land. That means if you’re on the beach island you can choose between the wild saltwater of the Atlantic Ocean or the calm sweet water of the Imbassaí river.<br>

Ge0rG<p>I have an Intel <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/N100" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>N100</span></a> board from Chinese "brand" KingnovyPC. It used to work well, but now, when power is unplugged, it forgets date/time and also <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/EFI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EFI</span></a> variables. So on power-up, it boots into the BIOS setup, and I have to boot from a rescue Linux USB stick to re-write the EFI vars to boot from NVMe again... until the next power down.</p><p>The CMOS battery is dead, which explains the date/time problem, but did they REALLY also store EFI vars in CMOS-RAM, or is my hypothesis wrong?</p><p><a href="https://chaos.social/tags/UEFI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UEFI</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/boot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>boot</span></a></p>
Fell<p>Do any of the Linux heads around here know anything more about this error, except that -110 appears to be a timeout error?</p><p>I'm getting this regularily. It seems to be related to my two Oculus Rift Sensors (essentially USB cameras) connected via a 4 meter USB 3.0 extension cable. Windows, however, never has an issue with them.</p><p>I'm curious.
