Elle montre la Loire, qui occupe toute l'image dans des tons blancs et clairs. Sur la gauche de l'image, se découpe un petit voilier au mouillage, voile rangée. Son reflet se dessine sur l'eau. Sur les tons clairs de l'image, ce sont les seuls éléments, sombres, à se découper. Cette image est l'exact miroir de la première d'un triptyque présentant le même sujet (un bateau sur la Loire), elle clôt cet ensemble d'images, offrant un ensemble fait de tons clairs, de formes sur l'eau du fleuve. Sur le portfolio Pixelfed, les trois images sont alignées, dessinant un ensemble symétrique. Black and white photograph, portrait format, 2x3 ratio. The image was taken on a foggy, low-light day. It shows the Loire, which occupies the entire image in light, white tones. On the left-hand side of the image, a small sailboat stands at anchor, its sails furled. Its reflection can be seen on the water. In the light tones of the image, these are the only dark elements that stand out. This image is the exact mirror image of the first of a triptych presenting the same subject (a boat on the Loire), and brings this set of images to a close, offering an ensemble of light tones and shapes on the water of the river. On the Pixelfed portfolio, the three images are aligned, creating a symmetrical whole.

Il Voltone dei Caccianemici / The Vault of Caccianemici

The Voltone which we see now was constructed in medieval times thanks to the Pascipoveri family. The Caccianemici family became the owners of the arch/vault and its surrounding houses in 1394 and is named after them. (We've seen their door/window before!)
The site where it stands used to be Porta San'Agata and even before that was part of the Roman Bononia circle (about the 3rd century BCE) ✨
