MarvinBeyond the obvious Warner Bros is just trying to milk the IP, I don't see the need for this new animated adaptation. IMO, the <a href="https://mastodon.sdf.org/tags/Watchmen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Watchmen</a> movie was pretty much perfect, tweaked ending and all. It's about the only thing that <a href="https://mastodon.sdf.org/tags/ZackSnyder" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ZackSnyder</a> did a good job with, but only because he made the decision to stick to the source material frame by frame. The Peter Pan of Nerdery™ 🇦🇺Watched “<a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/RebelMoon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#RebelMoon</a> - The Scargiver” yesterday. I liked it just as much as the first show, although it does have a rather offputting lens bokeh effect, chromatic aberration and incredibly shallow depth of field for a lot of scenes. Bit formulaic as well.I enjoyed V (from V for Vendetta) making an appearance though 😁I don’t get the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ZackSnyder" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ZackSnyder</a> hate tho. Probably just like the Linux userbase hating on Windows - because torch-and-pitchfork cancelling shit is the latest trendy thing to do 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

I do think it's unfortunate that it's become extremely hard to judge this director's work on its own merits because of his rabid "cult", and the endless comparisons of his product with the Marvel movies, which many people still view with rose-tinted glasses, even though a good number of them are schlock. I feel like this needs more visibility than I can get it on my own.I can think of several non-weird ways ALL CRITICISM of a <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/ZackSnyder" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ZackSnyder</a> movie could be supressed. And I'm open to considering weird variants as well.More than that, I just want AT LEAST one URL to a video that's critical of this Snyder film, just so I know that all the rest haven't been DMCA'd into oblivion.
