We were testing #galene as an alternative to #discord video/voice-chat in online #ttrpg sessions today. (In addition to #irc as a chat that is)

It worked fine. Galene has really low ressource demands and we had multiple people in the chat on two continents with good quality video and multiple simultaneous screenshare windows at the same time.
If discord enshittifies too much I think we at least have a way to play our games.

Good Morning Mastodon!

We finished the Star Trek game Friday.

The bridge officers + an NPC Security officer that spoke Romulan fluently took the welded together Romulan / Federation shuttle (The Rom wasn't big enough for all of us and the Fed one didn't have a cloaking device so we improvised) into the Neutral Zone.

We arrived at the Hobus system with a D'Deridex sitting on the other side of the star from us. We snuck in undetected.

They fired the Super Nova Super Weapon at the star and bugged out.

We moved around to the other side of the star.

I spoofed their sensors to make them think the weapon hit the star and failed.

While doing that the engineer beamed it onto the shuttle while the two Security officers disabled the warhead.

There was a flash of light and we were back at the Guardian of Forever. We completed our mission and fixed time from that super nova destroying multiple planets like the Guardian showed us.

We then headed back to the A-Quad to be debriefed.

I was promoted from Acting Captain, to Captain of the USS Hermes and we continued our original mission of mapping the Shackleton Expanse....

If you had told me a year ago that I needed to sing for a #DnD game, I might have had an #anxiety attack on the spot. Last night, I *chose* to sing (badly but whatevs) during what ended up being, IMO, the best session I've not only ever run, but of any I've ever played in.
Also, it was a #FPWKK adventure so I got to totally obliterate the party without feeling bad. 😈

She’s quick to pocket something she doesn’t own and tends to lose herself in song and dance — and be late in the morning.

Got cast out because she was late in returning from a celebration and all others had to wait so they lost a carriage in an attack.
