E. MagnussonA new headdress that I made during a course recently. It’s inspired by a traditional Swedish folk crown, called a Lad. Mine is not very traditional, other than it being traditional to make it as shiny as possible on a wool base.<br>

I was inspired by the myth of Argos Panoptes, the giant who have his eyes to the peacock feathers in Greek mythology. You look at my hat, my hat looks right back. <br>

To be honest this was an amazingly fun stash bust and I got to try out mirror sewing and beading in ways I hadn’t before. 10/10 will be doing another one. <br>

E. MagnussonI got a request to do a pair of oven mitts to match a multi coloured tile kitchen. At the time I was fixating on quilting and the two combined into the same idea. <br>

I love the snake-y pattern on the mitts so much that I’m considering making a dress with the same concept. Slow fashion, resource management, and quilting is a hot topic in my circles at the moment.<br>

Oscar LarssonLast week, I travelled down to the Sjuhärad region to deliver these heddles to Vävkompaniet and visit Åke Erlandsson, who has been making heddles for them for many years. It was awesome to see some of the heddles he's made and his workshop, where he has crafted several hundreds of them.<br>

Band weaving, yes! Small scale tapestry, maybe. But like, real big loom action? Nah. But I just finished my first self drafted half fill costume fabric and I’m hooked. <br>
<br>
Yes, there’s a mistake in the middle. But I’m going to be making it into a bodice, where the mistake will disappear into the garment piecing. Yes the process was long and slow, but shuttling on a good day is better than deep breathing meditation. I’ve never been so satisfied with the state of things. <br>

I guess I’m a weaver too now. So I am become a creator of fabrics. <br>

Oscar LarssonHere is the latest folding spoon that i have made for a costumer. its made out of cherry wood. I absolutely love how the chipcarved pattern turned out, i will definetly do a similar pattern in the future. I usually sketch out a small part of the pattern in advance and then the rest of the pattern is allowed to grow out of the sketch when I carve. <br>

This was a commisoned pice. a spoon like this one would cost about 4000 SEK. Its takes about three days of fulltime work to make a spoon like this.<br>
