Raw frame from Blade Runner and how it looks on my color e-ink "very slow movie player" frame. This thing is impossible to photograph because of how reflective the glass is but it looks amazing in person. The color e-ink really looks so cool / very different from a grid of backlit pixels. Wish I could capture it better!

Watching one of the live action Transformers sequels with a young family member.
One of the many inscrutable design choices in these films is the way they gave the robot versions of some Transformers dangly mechanical beards, or old man hair and croaky voices. Ok, making them serious sci fi action films was never going to work. But surely they could have done better than alien robots modeled on cartoonish human stereotypes.
Watched Set It Up the other day, watching Hit Man now. Psyched for The Running Man in November. Glen Powell's great
Just finished reading 'L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future, Volume 41', an anthology of short stories and illustrations introducing new artists and writers of fantasy and science fiction, and I have to say, I really loved this book, both as a concept and as a read. What great idea and a clever way to help new talent and introduce their work to a wider audience. The stories most certainly did not disappoint either.
