DoomsdaysCW<p>True story...</p><p>So, a local <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/library" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>library</span></a> (in a rural area) I used to work for decided to just eliminate their <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/DVDs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DVDs</span></a> a few years back. "Oh, all the patrons have <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/streaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>streaming</span></a> now," the director said. "Um, then why do a lot of our patrons use our computers and regularly take out DVDs?" I replied, after taking a look at the library statistics. I ended up "adopting" a lot of the DVDs, and now that there's a new director, I'm thinking I might donate my collection (which is quite extensive, since I've added to it) back to them, and start volunteering there again.<br><a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/LibraryTalk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LibraryTalk</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/Libraries" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Libraries</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/RuralLibraries" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RuralLibraries</span></a></p>
