RG333/G-AIEK, Miles M.38 Messenger 2A, in RAF colours as worn by the personal liason aircraft used Field Marshall Montgomery, taxiing out for a display flight at Manchester Barton during the annual air show, some time in the 1990s.

XL164, Handley-Page HP-80 Victor K2, Royal Air Force, on static display at Woodford Air Show, some time in the 1990s.
A lot of people, mostly Americans, seem to think this is an obscure, secretive Russian prototype, even though it served with the RAF for decades.

On This Day 24th February 2015.

WG763, English Electric P.1A, in Royal Air Force colours, on display in the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Manchester, 24th February 2015.
This was a technology demonstrator that lead to the English Electric Lightning.
Now on display at Old Sarum, which is a place I really need to visit.
