Fabian ¯\_(ツ)_/¯<p>On this day, 10 years ago, Rob Wilkins posted this series of heartbreaking tweets, shortly after Terry Pratchett died (way too early):</p><p>AT LAST, SIR TERRY, WE MUST WALK TOGETHER.</p><p>Terry took Death’s arm and followed him through the doors and on to the black desert under the endless night.</p><p>The End.</p><p><a href="https://chaos.social/tags/GNUTerryPratchett" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GNUTerryPratchett</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Pratchett" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Pratchett</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Discworld" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Discworld</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/SayHisName" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SayHisName</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/TerryPrachett" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TerryPrachett</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/RobWilkins" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RobWilkins</span></a></p>

Colin H.<p>The biography of Terry Pratchett by his long-time assistant Rob Wilkins, "A Life in Footnotes", is 99p today at Amazon and Kobo.</p><p>It's interesting, surprising, funny, affecting, sad and extremely good</p><p>[Edit: apparently it's <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/TerryPratchettDay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TerryPratchettDay</span></a> today, which explains the timing.]</p><p><a href="https://www.kobo.com/gb/en/ebook/terry-pratchett-a-life-with-footnotes" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">kobo.com/gb/en/ebook/terry-pra</span><span class="invisible">tchett-a-life-with-footnotes</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/ebook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ebook</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/TerryPratchett" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TerryPratchett</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/RobWilkins" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RobWilkins</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/dementia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>dementia</span></a></p>
BuffaloCrisps<p>I'm totally biased, completely subjective, and of course utterly partial. The emotions rose up for the final few chapters, so no surprises when I say that this is a warmly told, caring, big-duvet-on-a-rainy-day type of an autobiography. 🥹</p><p>Well told and well done Rob. </p><p><a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/SirTerry" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SirTerry</span></a> <br><a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/TerryPratchett" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TerryPratchett</span></a> <br><a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/RobWilkins" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RobWilkins</span></a></p><p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://a.gup.pe/u/bookstodon" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>bookstodon</span></a></span></p>
Strypey<p>"Making Money and Terry’s prediction of the banking crash is always held up as one of the great examples of how he predicted the future, but I actually believe that it had more to do with his ability to read and predict the human condition and our own ghastly ability to continually cock things up."</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/RobWilkins" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RobWilkins</span></a></p><p><a href="https://www.theguardian.com/books/2023/oct/07/terry-pratchett-discworld-author-the-colour-of-magic" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">theguardian.com/books/2023/oct</span><span class="invisible">/07/terry-pratchett-discworld-author-the-colour-of-magic</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/TerryPratchett" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TerryPratchett</span></a></p>
molosovsky 🐿✊💗<p>Anekdote aus »<a href="https://literatur.social/tags/TerryPratchett" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TerryPratchett</span></a>. A Life With Footnotes« von <a href="https://literatur.social/tags/RobWilkins" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RobWilkins</span></a> die mich überaus beeindruckt und berührt. 💗 </p><p><a href="https://literatur.social/tags/autokorrektur" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>autokorrektur</span></a></p>
