1) The vicarious joy for the dad, friends, & family.
2) The righteousness of refugees to flee tyranny seeking a better life.
3) The happiness that Saskatchewan welcomed refugees & he found love across the artificial boundaries of national border, race, & language.
4) Despair that in the past such stories were written about the journeys of others to the US & my fear that this will not be the case in the future.
This article tells the beautiful story of Romanian refugees fleeing communism and arriving in Saskatoon. It triggers a whole flurry of emotions. (1/2)

Lots of #refugees suffer from #trauma, caused by #war and tne circumstances in which they have to flee. As long as "safe countries" keep adding to that trauma instead of offering care, they will have to deal with the consequences like violent incidents and irritating behaviour caused by the trauma.
