One tester gave up on the last wave of both of the last 2 levels. The other tester did beat the second to last level but then took a look around the last level and decided not to even try it. Although in both cases they were in the game for about 2 hours, and wanted to get out of the VR headset. Maybe I should have more shorter sessions? Rob Harper (he/him)<p>So UK Games Expo has come and gone, and I'm in the process of trying to recover both physically and emotionally. It was intense, but the vibe was absolutely great. So many people having a good time, and so many of my game designer friends reporting having successes in various ways. </p><p>I also had a big success, but I don't think I can announce it just yet. I will do as and when, but I am very happy with how one project is going.</p><p>I only got to play a couple of published games over the weekend (ultra-light; neither were new, but both were new to me) and a couple of prototypes (one was my own), but that's how it usually works for me.</p><p>Most of my time was spent as a volunteer in the Playtest Zone (attached picture is of the playtesting on Friday), which is what I have been doing since Covid, and it was time well spent; so many designers getting their games played by so many lovely people. Sorry, I can't tell you much about the designs, but they varied from scrappy, early prototypes, to professionally printed stuff.
