Tried the #OnePlus 6T camera in #OBS and it works! Cannot select resolution and the default is pretty small and zoomed in, but frame rate is smooth. Might be another way to record video with #postmarketOS!

Front camera is still very purple. Unfortunately, having two Pipewire sources active simultaneously (to see both cameras at once) does not seem to work. They both just freeze.

Okay y'all, I hit the jackpot again! So I have the OnePlus 13 phone, and Earfun wireless earbuds. So I was trying surround sound playback on the AAC Multichannel Playback Test page from Fraunhoffer, and while the OReality audio doesn't use the surround sound channels, the Spatial Audio option does! So yeah, while the OnePlus doesn't have Dolby Atmos, it does support surround sound emulation. Lets see an iPhone do that! :)

Hello Tech-Bubble!

On a scale from one to "Oh my gods, get an upgrade this instant?!", how bad is it, security -wise to still be on #Android 11 when Android 16 releases? Anything else to keep in mind?

Trying to gauge if I should get a newer phone or if a battery upgrade for the old one (a #OnePlus 6T from a few months after release) will do.

Just found out #LibreWolf is packaged in #AlpineLinux now! This includes #postmarketOS! I just migrated from the Flatpak version by copying the contents of

.var/app/io.gitlab.librewolf-community/.librewolf to .librewolf

and

.var/app/io.gitlab.librewolf-community/config/librewolf to .config/librewolf

then going into about:profiles in native LibreWolf and selecting the correct profile. Also turned on media.webrtc.camera.allow-pipewire in about:config and now cameras work on #OnePlus 6T!

Replay crew! Had a super fun chat this morning on the show! somegadgetguy.com/b/4H5

#SGGQA 384: No OnePlus Open 2, Vivo V50 is Here, New iPhone SE Soon?

Arm will be making their own chips soon! Apple might finally refresh the iPhone SE. A HUGE collection of films is available for move fans. OnePlus sets the record straight on the Open 2.

And we should chat about Vivo's latest mid-ranger...

Let's get our tech week started right!

I have taken GIGS of #pictures since I started trying to #learn #photography seriously.

I am really impressed with the #oneplus #phone for what it costs. Specifically - Nord N200 5G and it's sentimental now. I am getting them from now on.

They do everything decently, and more importantly - nothing badly.

It was the first okay #tech I got after 4 years of #poverty and for what it is, I think it takes AMAZING #photos.

I want a community to easily #host and share them

Circular inaccessibility:

* I cannot sign into my OnePlus account due to a captcha with no audio version. And it's usually one where you have to drag something or click something in order.
* I can't sign into the OnePlus community center because I can't sign into my OnePlus account.
* I cannot report the issue to OnePlus because I cannot sign into the community center because I cannot sign into my OnePlus account.
* OnePlus relies on AudioEye for accessibility but I still cannot find any contact info on the accessibility page.

Well at least the phone is responsive and does the whole Android thing well enough. And I'm lucky I don't need their apps.

Please boost for reach:

I wonder if Fedi has anyone who works at OnePlus, or knows any way of getting in touch with a human there that can help fix some accessibility issues? I got my OnePlus phone yesterday, and love the hardware, the customizability, and the haptic motor. It's maybe the only Android phone right now that comes with the option to set phone audio to the earpiece when you hold the phone to your ear. And TalkBack is amazingly responsive on it. However, there are accessibility issues, like TalkBack's support for the fingerprint sensor being broken so that it always instructs me to move my finger up, no matter where it is around the sensor, suggested apps on the recent apps screen not always showing the correct app that will be launched, and volume and brightness sliders in quick settings not working correctly with TalkBack. I'm not sure if OnePlus has any accessibility staff, but since they're using AudioEye on their website, I'd guess they have at least thought of accessibility slightly, even if there are often no audio captchas so I can't log into my OnePlus account. Overall though, it's a great phone and may be the one that allows me to settle into Android full time.
