Carlton CarnivoresNepenthes graciliflora “Surigao.” One of two forms of this species I grow; once lumped into N. alata, the split from that species has created significant confusion as many graciliflora, hybrid, and other species continue to be mislabeled as the rather uncommon alata. I've just set up <a class="hashtag" href="https://snipetteville.in/tag/nepenthes" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Nepenthes</a> for <a class="hashtag" href="https://snipetteville.in/tag/snipette" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Snipette</a> (the magazine I co-founded), not out of necessity but because it sounded interesting. And guess what: it trapped over 50 bots in the first day alone! The "fun" part was styling the Nepenthes pages to look (kind of like) ordinary Snipette pages, and seeding it with Snipette articles, so everything it generated kind of fit. Not sure if that affects the scrapers in anyway, but it does make things more entertaining for humans whom I can showcase the tarpit to 😉 Also, I suppose the more different and creative ways we make to do this the better? Since if scrapers ever decide to defend against Nepenthes and family, they'd have a lot more work cut out for them if the deployments are diverse 🎨 I forgot about the "mining code" part though. I should set something up for my Forgejo instances too. When a scraper comes to train on us, Nepenthes babbles at it so it ends up training on that instead. <a href="https://zadzmo.org/code/nepenthes/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://zadzmo.org/code/nepenthes/</a> Our Nepenthes has been loaded with Snipette articles, so its outputs ends up sounding very "Snipette" even when it's a trainwreck.
