Just the other day, I was talking to a friend about how I was rooting for the #Celtics because of one reason: #JrueHoliday. Then yesterday, Jrue absolutely destroyed the #Mavs. I think due to most people not really paying attention to the #NewOrleansPelicans, many still get surprised by Jrue's offense. He was the no. 2 option on the Pels for a long time. He can score. In recent years, he just let his more popular defense get him role-player positions in contender teams. #NBA

i really love this new triumvirate of Michael Breen, Doris Burke and J.J. Reddick. JJ is the Tony Romo of the NBA.
the only times i have watched an #NFL game has been because it had Tony at the booth with his genius brand of sports analysis. don't understand the game but i do understand Tony Romo. and JJ is as good if not better at explaining strategy. Doris as well. she used to be a coach, after all.

If not for Jrue, I'd be for Dallas here. But #JrueHoliday is probably the most beloved player of the #NewOrleansPelicans all time. I rooted for Jrue against the Suns. He won a chip. He's such an excellent player and human being that I'm rooting for him again now vs the #Mavs. So come on #Celtics. Give my man #Jrue another ring.
Also, it would just be funny if he does win a second ring, and the Bucks traded him for Dame. And we know how that worked out. #NBA

A few #nba thoughts from jumping around the Monday games
The #mavs look much better than last year. Totally different, really. Grant Williams is clearly bringing big grownup energy but overall they just seem focused and bought in. I still have concerns about defense but they're fun to watch again, which last season they were not
The magic are a strange team, kinda fun, pretty good, hard to get a feel for. The Banchero/Wagner lineup is so unusual, I'll def need to watch more of this team
