Pat Allan<p>The best time to be in Melbourne. (Please be sending me your comedy festival recommendations!) <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/MICF" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MICF</span></a></p>
Stephen Edmonds<p>I am 22 shows in to the comedy festival and I have been very happy with them all, they are not all the same style but they have all been excellent.</p><p>In Mish Wittrup's show tonight I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. In general I do not recommend things, but this is an exception.</p><p>Their run ends this weekend but there are two extra shows added for next week that you should go to.</p><p><a href="https://www.comedyfestival.com.au/browse-shows/mish-wittrup/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">comedyfestival.com.au/browse-s</span><span class="invisible">hows/mish-wittrup/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://aus.social/tags/MICF" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MICF</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/MICF2025" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MICF2025</span></a></p>

drei<p>Gillian Cosgriff is relatable, likeable, and a very talented composer — yes, she injects a few original songs into her standup — as well as a hilarious storyteller. Her dissection of the world and our worries may not offer TED Talk-level insights like those of comedians Daniel Sloss or Hannah Gadsby, but what she delivers might be even better: a sense of lightness and hope to carry into a world full of worries.</p><p>Fresh New Worries, her comedy show, was our first at this year’s comedy festival — exactly the kind of show you hope to see first. Highly recommended! <a href="https://aus.social/tags/micf2025" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>micf2025</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/micf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>micf</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/melbourne" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>melbourne</span></a></p>

Mike [SEC=OFFICIAL]<p>If you're a person who's usually around the CBD at the end of a day, and might feel like seeing a good comedy show ... you should check out one of these!</p><p>Due to close timing, you won't be able to do both in one night, but both Becky and Donna are fucking excellent comedians and you'll have a great time either way.</p><p>I'm going to see one of them this evening, but not sure which! Flip a coin, and you could possibly join me!</p><p>Donna Collins - Apologetically Me<br><a href="https://www.comedyfestival.com.au/browse-shows/apologetically-me/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">comedyfestival.com.au/browse-s</span><span class="invisible">hows/apologetically-me/</span></a></p><p>Becky Steepe - Cancer Card<br><a href="https://www.comedyfestival.com.au/browse-shows/cancer-card/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">comedyfestival.com.au/browse-s</span><span class="invisible">hows/cancer-card/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://social.chinwag.org/tags/MICF" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MICF</span></a> <a href="https://social.chinwag.org/tags/Comedy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Comedy</span></a></p>

Tim Richards<p>Whoa there's a Comedy Festival bar under the portico at the Melbourne Town Hall. Cool idea. Pat Allan<p>Reminds me of the bleakly funny joke I heard tonight at the <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/MICF" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MICF</span></a> by a non-binary comedian: the ‘engagement’ directed at their social media in the form of bigotry gives them a higher profile in algorithms, and thus indirectly their best chance to one day buy a house. 😓😏<br><a href="https://mastodon.social/@JulianOliver/112268146605905859" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">mastodon.social/@JulianOliver/</span><span class="invisible">112268146605905859</span></a></p>
