In both cases, the Crown argued in different ways that UNDRIP didn't apply to the circumstance.</p><p>What's at stake? The decisions in both cases will shape how UNDRIP applies in the Canadian <a href="https://beige.party/tags/legal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>legal</span></a> system for decades to come, but how and in what way is still unknown.
