From the hike a couple days ago. I didn’t look real close at the time, just figured it was some kind of cocoon, but in retrospect I guess it could be a slime mold.

rough gray tree bark texture with a spongy off-white mass on the side. Close examination shows lots of hair like structures, much like a slime mold (dog vomit) but it also looks a bit like some type of moth cocoon. There are a couple breaks in the surface, the biggest in the middle like something either came out or a woodpecker was rooting around. The hole also looks like a nose with an accompanying small mouth below and eye in upper left (no right eye)

#HotTake: Every #human should be entitled by international #law to free, unseizeable #ID documents in the form of a travel #passport to evidence their #identity and have #FreedomOfMovement as well as a chance to #flee.

It should also be illegal to demand #biometrics like #Fingerprints which are trivial to forge anyway!

Why?
