Anime Animals アニメの動物<p>Late <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/introduction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>introduction</span></a> </p><p>初めまして。 よろしくお願いします。<br>Hi, NekoShinshi here. AniAnimals.moe is my passion project over 10 years in the making. I initially intended to set up a /r on Reddit <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/RIP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RIP</span></a> to gather cute <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/AnimeCat" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AnimeCat</span></a>, then attempted a YouTube Channel 'Cats out of Context' <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/RIP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RIP</span></a>, then started a BlogSpot 'animecatproject' <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/RIP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RIP</span></a>. <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/DMCA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DMCA</span></a> takedowns are suffering. Needed <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/Motivation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Motivation</span></a></p><p>If you find any <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/AniAnimals" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AniAnimals</span></a> feel free to tag or DM me <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://sakurajima.moe/@anianimalsmoe" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>anianimalsmoe</span></a></span>. I watch lots of <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/anime" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>anime</span></a>, but I miss a lot, and there are genres I don't necessarily watch often. e.g. <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/Fujoshi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fujoshi</span></a> or <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/Fudanshi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fudanshi</span></a> please HMU with animals from <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/BL" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BL</span></a>.</p><p>I have collected <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/Over9000" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Over9000</span></a> clips and images of animals from <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/anime" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>anime</span></a>, mainly <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/cats" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cats</span></a>. They will be posted as I add descriptions and notes, and work on improving the website to a proper fully searchable database with episode numbers and timestamps. <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/SoloProject" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SoloProject</span></a> <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/FeedbackWelcome" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FeedbackWelcome</span></a> <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/HugeTaskBacklog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HugeTaskBacklog</span></a></p><p>日本語は読めますので多分大丈夫。<br>I can <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/Japanese" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Japanese</span></a> from years of Anime and Games and one very painful Uni break going through the <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/GenkiTextbooks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GenkiTextbooks</span></a> <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/HighlyRecommended" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HighlyRecommended</span></a>. I write badly, but can listen and read at the level of the <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/Haruhi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Haruhi</span></a> novels.</p><p>Why bother when wikis and anime database sites exist? AniAnimals.moe is meant to be modern, curated, and animal-focused site with video at its core. I want <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/cute" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cute</span></a> and <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/facts" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>facts</span></a>, not <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/prose" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>prose</span></a> of <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/plot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>plot</span></a>. I've found that English Wikipeda, Fandom, Anime-Planet misgender, misname and outright present mistakes as facts. I spend effort looking through the Japanese wikis and <a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/RawManga" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RawManga</span></a> to find the truth. And I'm ok with admitting and correcting my mistakes. Wikis have to deal with politics and power plays about ownership.</p>
