Just finished Neuromancer, my first time reading William Gibson. Difficult but worth it. Wow. Amazing and prophetic, so many things written in 1984 that have become relatable today. The world he creates is so massive and complex. Curious about the sequels, but I think I'll read something lighter in the interim.

Hey #gearsquad anyone ever heard of these #Penco guitars? I guess they were made back in the 60’s and 70’s among the “lawsuit” era of imported #acoustic #guitars. It’s #japanese made which I’ve heard that those old Japan made replicas of #Martin and #Gibson were decently crafted. This one has some damage on the bridge but the seller only wants 80 bucks. I think it’d be cool to just get.

My biggest question is; do you think this is a Dreadnaught style guitar? It looks similar to an 00M or 000 body style, no? The case that it’s sitting in is definitely a Dreadnaught. The model number is A-6 and the ones I find online (not many) say Dreadnaught but I swear this guitar looks smaller than a dread. If it is a 00M/000 copy that makes me want it even more!

I was just seeing if anybody had heard of these! I know they’re not amazing or anything but if it turns out to be a parlor type body and for less than 100 bucks? I’m down for it.

Highly recommended for a great Saturday evening.
