Sylke’s home cookingThe other day I stumbled across a video that showed how to get the bones out of a chicken drumstick relatively easily. As my guys hate meat with bones 🤷🏼 and I prefer the bits with bones because the meat is better, this seemed to be a good compromise to get the meat I like and for them to stop complaining about how cumbersome the bones are… 🙄 So in the end I had some nice flat drumstick meat with skin and decided to bake them in the oven seasoned and slathered with chilli jam. Not exactly a fast meal as I had to first pluck quite a few long fish bones from the six fillets and that took some time. Sylke’s home cookingI really don’t like it when I can’t get a dish to look like in the photo of the recipe I used. My Mapo Nasu sauce is nowhere as dark as I expected. Last time I thought that happened because I used a different type of miso but this time I had the dark haccho miso and still it was a lot lighter. 🤔😖<br> <br> Maybe it wasn’t very good haccho miso? Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t a bad meal, just not what I thought it should be like. I preferred this dish with my red miso, it had a more interesting taste profile.
