The latest findings from the Family Resources Survey (FRS) have been published by the Department for Work and Pensions. The FRS is a continuous household survey which collects information on topics such as income, housing tenure, care needs, disability, education, pension participation and more. NatCen has carried out data collection for the survey every year since it launched in 1992.

Unfortunately, we in Germany (considering the demographics of the currently ruling parties) are also caught in the same vicious cycle. An aging population is putting more and more pressure on the pension system.
These costs are paid through taxes by the current generation or through reduced investment in areas like education or infrastructure, making it even less likely that people will have children. (It's already a challenge to afford kids)

Well I didn’t get the lawns done after all, but all is ready for tomorrow morning now. I still had a fairly busy day anyway. I had my #Walk with my daughter & grandson who has a nasty wee cough he picked up a while ago but now seems to be developing a bit. Home for lunch & I got my #Sourdough prepped & in the fridge for the second prove & that will stay there overnight for cooking first thing tomorrow, fresh bread for lunch 
! Decanted & refed my #Kefir & started my scrap broth in the slow cooker from things I’d saved in the freezer, #Soup base for winter eating. Spoke to my sister to see how she got on at the cardiologist then relayed those details to my other sister & brother in #Adelaide.
I had a bit of an argument with someone on here & then she was a little derogatory towards me because I blocked her 
. Very nice 
.
I also think I’m turning into my Mum, my dish rack has four plastic bags draining on top of my dishes

I wish I could talk to my grandmother one more time.
Born and buried on the reservation. She was proud to be Wailaki.
Her education, at Indian boarding school, never broke her spirit.
She raised a family through the great depression and might have advice we could all use now.
She didn't dare to dream about a world free of racism. She told me as much. She said people are people and they aren't likely to change their spots. Yet she was a surviver and raised most of my cousins despite the odds.
When she was old she wiled away the time writing poetry and posting letters to her inquisitive granddaughter. She had alot to say. I might have inherited that tendency.
I don't think she would be surprised about the mess our country is in, and would most certainly tell me to uphold the family tradition and survive.
