Alright, all you #wetland lovers - I'm digging all the #MarshMadness photos you're sharing, but I hope you're also preparing for #Swamptember and #Bogtober this fall and #Fenuary early next year!

Just the smallest amounts of hoarfrost this morning on some of the native plants in the fen. 24 deg F was nearly perfect for the hike. Only 1.5 miles but a good one for sure. #photography #hike #frost #blackandwhite #fen

My hike this morning took me through our native fen and then to the moraine. (I've posted about being part of a volunteer group working to remove invasive plant species here.) It was 3 deg F with -7 deg F windchill. Calm with crunchy snow underfoot. I left a little before sunrise and the sky was completely clear.
