MediaFaro News Digest<p>Smartphone wallet: EU committees agree on a digital driving license.</p><p>Following intensive negotiations, representatives of the EU Parliament, the Council of Ministers and the Commission agreed on new common standards for driving licenses throughout the EU.</p><p>A uniform digital driving license should be available to all EU citizens before the end of 2030. This seal must be created with a certified HSM, for assurance against forgery.</p><p>We’ll meet this challenge by either transitioning the EU HSM industry to multi-message signatures (e.g. BBS+) or by standardising ZKP of knowledge of issuer seals in the EU.</p>
