Evelyn in Montreal<p>For the past few months I’ve been having a terrific time making miniatures for my rustic Christmas-themed <a href="https://canada.masto.host/tags/Dollhouse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Dollhouse</span></a> using cardboard, mdf board, balsa wood etc.<br>For Christmas I gifted myself this how-to book by Julie Warren so I can learn more about how to create sturdier and more realistic furniture.<br>The first thing I learned about was planning a room out ahead of time. Evelyn in Montreal<p>Several months ago I started making miniatures for my as yet unfinished plywood <a href="https://canada.masto.host/tags/dollhouse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>dollhouse</span></a>. Everything in this <a href="https://canada.masto.host/tags/Xmas" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Xmas</span></a> scene with the exception of the doll and the white hutch, was made out of recycled cardboard and other packaging, and leftover cloth and ribbons and other doodads from around my house.<br>I’ve gained in confidence now so I’m going to order some mini furniture designs and my husband will be teaching me how to use an Dremel and other woodworking tools <br><a href="https://canada.masto.host/tags/crafts" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>crafts</span></a> <a href="https://canada.masto.host/tags/DollhouseJournal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DollhouseJournal</span></a></p>
