Nielso<p><a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Exciter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Exciter</span></a> plugin for <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a>, anyone?</p><p><a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Calf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Calf</span></a> Exciter has lost support from <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Ardour" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Ardour</span></a>/#Mixbus.</p><p>I tried <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Airwindows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Airwindows</span></a> but it didn't do anything except for introducing a subtle unpleasant distortion when set to extremes. (Is anyone using Airwindows plugins? Are they snake oil or are they real?)</p><p>I also tried C*Spice, which is “not an exciter” but still removing some more of the noise. Which is my actual problem… noisy synthesizers from a live recording. Now the <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Audacity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Audacity</span></a> <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Denoise" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Denoise</span></a> is not too bad, but it subtly eats some of the shiny high end of the material.</p><p>And by noisy I mean it. Oh yes, that good old 70ties Moog.
