I used high_impact, a game engine made in C much lower-level than what I'm used to (mostly Godot). Still, that was a cool project. Past tense because now I'm going to take a break.

#FediJam penultimate day: I can't find the fix to the ranking bug nor the right tweak for easier steering while keeping stable orbits. Oh well, it's still a playable (if not humanly finishable) game. Tomorrow I'll get back to it and publish one last version.

I am in urgent job search mode, so I'm gonna throw this out here and see if anything comes of it.

I am a #Canadian, fluent in both #English and #French. I have experience with several programming languages. My strongest proficiency is with #Haskell and #C. I also have a reasonable grasp of #HTML, #JavaScript, #SQL, #Python, #Lua, #Linux system administration, #bash scripting, #Perl, #AWK, some #Lisp (common, scheme, and emacs), and probably several others I've forgotten to mention.

I am not necessarily looking for something in tech. I just need something stable. I have done everything from software development, to customer support, to factory work, though my current circumstances make in-person work more difficult than remote work. I have been regarded as a hard worker in every job I have ever held.

Key takeaways:
- I don't need fancy opponent AI if navigation is hard enough on its own
- borders aren't 100% blocking, so if you push your luck really hard you can take shortcuts. In one session an opponent managed to escape forever, its minimap icon crossing the main screen.
- Lots of new challenges. I have 10⁶ words to say in a future devlog.
Almost unfinishable for now, take it more as an experience.

What the hell is wrong with #Jabber? The two most important console clients, #Poezio and #Profanity, both released version 0.15.0 today. Same version number, same day, same first letter "P". Do you want to confuse us all?

At least Poezio is written in #Python, Profanity in #C/#Clang, i.e. there are some differences. Otherwise it would be too much.

#FediJam day 24: I made the tutorial playable end-to-end and I published the game without restrictions.
The main race hasn't been built yet. You will endlessly ram into limits/fences and die. Also some audio bugs remain. Apart from that I hope it's fun.
