@teadrinker on the xitter site years ago I followed a jobbing gardener in scotland who carried a lawnmower and all their tools on a cargo bike. A cargo bike wouldn't work for me because of the long wheelbase and low deck on the sometimes very rocky mountain tracks. I use a suspension eMTB with panniers as close to my heels as I can peddle, lighter stuff in backpack.
@chu is just in the process of investing a #Bullitt #backfiets type - I hope. She's city, Canada I think. You could follow her journey from the beginning! I've had building a trailer on my mind for years - possibly a powered one.
The great thing about #figs is they will crop on quite young trees, easy to propagate, and even if thirsty for lots of vegetative growth and fat fruit, they will survive drought/low water. I keep most of mine in containers, feed heavily and pinch out tops and suckers. Ate the most heavenly last fruits 2 days ago from the only fruiting black fig I have so far - 2 yr old, 8 fruit. Strawberries are strawberries, but the black fig grows fruit with /strawberry jam/ inside!
